Welcome to Green Acres School. We are an elementary school located at 100 Jack Lovering Drive in Manchester, NH. We currently serve a population of approximately 450 students ranging from Kindergarten to grade five. We are a feeder school for the McLaughlin Middle School. Here at school, we continually strive to achieve a safe and caring environment for our students. To help ensure safety, a sign-in policy, that includes visitor stickers, exists and ALL visitors must participate in the process.
Green Acres is also home to the elementary portion of the Manchester Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. In many cases, these students are mainstreamed into the classroom with assistance of a teacher of the deaf and an interpreter.
We have a very active Parent/Teacher Group at Green Acres. Some of our annual events include a Fall Family Picnic, Ice Cream Social, Penny Raffle, Book Fair, and a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. The group's fund raising efforts help support the school library, individual classrooms and several technology initiatives. All parents are urged to become active members of the group. The P.T.G. meetings are held monthly. As we all know, when home and school work "together" the results can be tremendous. Therefore, it is essential for parents and teachers to communicate in order to provide the students with the best possible education. Please visit our Parent/Teacher Group link on our web page for more information, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities.
We are extremely fortunate to be able to call Dartmouth/Hitchcock our business partner. Our strong school/business partnership continues to grow and strengthen each year. The entire Green Acres community, staff, students and families benefit from the generosity and commitment of our friends at Dartmouth. We are fortunate to have the "best" business partners in the community! You may find more information about them by visiting their web site through the "Partnership" link on our home page.
